The Third Mantra (Click to Enlarge)

This is the third installment in a series focusing on the real-world implications of the Path of the Blue Eye.

Think about the last time you were truly outside of your comfort zone professionally.  What did it feel like? Was the experience scary or exhilarating?

How did you react?  Did you retreat back into your shell or did you seize the moment?

No matter how hard you try, you can’t protect yourself forever.   There is always going to be some new concept, technology, person or situation that will take you by surprise.  Sometimes you’ll handle it well.  Other times, you’ll feel like an idiot.

Do you want to be able to handle those inevitable surprises better?  Here’s a piece of  advice: develop a flexible, curious mind. Flexibility is what the third mantra of the Path of the Blue Eye is all about.

A Puzzle for Your Thoughts

Here’s a little challenge for you. Take a look at the image at the left.  blog_codeDo you know what it is?  If so, can you translate it?

Consider this puzzle a test of your mental flexibility and willingness to have some fun.

However, before you begin, I’ll let you in on a little secret. I don’t expect many of you to solve this puzzle.  Why?  Well, we’re so focused on our day-to-day concerns that sometimes it’s hard to take the time to do something different, to reach out, to collaborate.

Can you prove me wrong?  I hope so.  Good luck and I’ll see you on the other side.
