Welcome to the first installment of Four Questions With, an ongoing interview series designed to showcase members of the Path of the Blue Eye community.
Today, I’m pleased to profile Kelley Connors. Regular readers of this blog may remember the open letter I co-authored with Connors focusing on breast cancer awareness. Connors is founder of KC Health Communications, a women’s healthcare marketing company. She is also creator of Real Women on Health!, “an on-line and off-line network of women and their influencers who generate candid conversations and expert commentary, empowering women to take charge of their health and wellness.”
If you are a member of the Path of the Blue Eye community (you read the blog, follow us on Twitter or are participating in the beta of our online community) and would like to be profiled, please leave a comment below.
1. What makes you special?
I see opportunties in all challenges, and while there is some naivite to that, it’s also a source of inspiration, joy and discovery. I love learning new things, and
meeting new people, making connections and creating magical moments . . . and noticing the magic in the everyday.
2. What do you do for a living?
Consumer and healthcare provider engagement, social media, women’s wellness and marketing health with women.
3. What is your favorite color and why?
Periwinkle blue. It looks different depending on the light . . . sometimes it looks cold and shimmery, and other times it looks warm and peaceful. It’s always clean looking and looks good on most people!
4. What attracted you to the Path of the Blue Eye Project?
I love collaboration, and solving healthcare and public health challenges with a multi-disciplinary perspective using cutting edge technology and strategies. For example, since women are key healthcare decision makers and influencers, I facilitate conversations with them to they become their own best health and wellness advocate. Conversations start at www.realwomenonhealth.com. I’m always looking for partners, sponsors and collaborators to further this mission on a variety of topics that other members in the community here might be interested in!
